Panama’s gambling sector recorded a 16.5% increase in total wagering volume during the first half of 2026, reaching $1.61 billion. The figure surpasses the $1.38 billion recorded in the same period of 2025.
Segment Performance and Revenue Breakdown
Online casino operations drove the expansion, with revenue climbing 59.8% to $379.75 million. Traditional segments also posted gains. Slot machine turnover grew 7% to $1.11 billion, while table games revenue increased 18.6% to $87.42 million. Bingo operations saw a 6% rise, generating $3.34 million.Not all categories followed the upward trend. Lottery sales contracted by 4.1%, and wagering at the Presidente Remón racetrack fell 7.2%. Instant game revenues experienced the largest decline, dropping 23.5% compared to the previous year.
